Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking a Senior Engineering & Equipment Technician to maintain and repair automated manufacturing equipment used for producing consumable microfluidic cartridges and Western blot cartridges in a cleanroom. You will drive uptime, reliability, and process improvements as a senior technical resource.

Applicants should have 5–8+ years of experience with automated manufacturing equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to mentor technicians.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical disciplines or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-8+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrated history of resolving complex equipment failures and mentoring less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous operation of production equipment through advanced diagnostics, repair, calibration, adjustment, and component replacement.
  • Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, fluidic, and motion-control systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as escalation point for recurring or high-impact equipment issues; participate in validation and qualification activities.
  • Train and mentor operators and technicians in setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
