The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time Study Director to lead multidisciplinary teams in executing high-quality translational biology studies. You will drive study design, data acquisition, and compliance with regulatory standards to deliver actionable results for rare disease research.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, project management, and scientific expertise with experience in mouse physiology and genome editing technologies.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, train and mentor teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work across departments and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Support characterization and validation of mouse models to increase utility for the community.
• Evaluate potential therapeutics including gene therapies, ASO and small molecules for clinical use.
• Develop molecular biology and biomarker analysis methods for rare diseases.
• Collaborate with internal and external scientists for new resource development.
• Lead staff and manage a multi-project portfolio, budgets, and progress reports.
• Publish key results and attend scientific meetings as needed.
