Northwell Health seeks a senior leader to design, implement, and sustain Epic Technology and Platform Operations across development, testing, production, and DR readiness. You will partner with clinical, IT, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable, secure, high-performing Epic environments that support patient care.

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Job Description

Serves as a senior-level technical and operational leader responsible for the design, implementation, execution, support, and continuous improvement of Epic Technology and Platform Operations. This role provides technical expertise across multidisciplinary teams responsible for hardware and lifecycle management, clinical and business technology deployments, environment strategy and governance, business continuity and disaster recovery preparedness, and enterprise-wide upgrade initiatives. Partners across clinical, operation, application, and infrastructure team to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing Epic environments and technology that support patient care and business operations. Participates in implementing or enhancing products and solutions following the hybrid product/project development and implementation lifecycle.

Highly Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated leadership of technical administration and lifecycle management for Epic environments across development, testing, training, production, and disaster recovery.


• Proven coordination and execution of Epic upgrades, system releases, maintenance activities, and environment refreshes with minimal operational disruption.


• Oversight of business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery execution for Epic systems.


• Cross-functional partnership with infrastructure, networking, device management, security, and application teams to ensure end-to-end platform reliability.


• Support for deployment and optimization of associated hardware, endpoints, peripherals, printers, and integrated clinical technologies.


• Governance of environments, including change control processes, release schedules, and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation.


• Analysis of system performance trends and implementation of proactive improvements to availability, scalability, and user experience.


• Provision of technical leadership, mentoring, and escalation support for analysts and operational teams.
