Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is a premier academic health system serving the Mid-South with eight hospitals and 180+ clinics. The Senior Beaker DI Application Analyst will support the foundational Device Integration buildout for lab workflows, instrumentation, and LIS capabilities, focusing on the Beaker/Data Innovations transition for the Pathology Lab.

This role is part of the Middleware and Data Innovations (MDI) team with remote-work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Beaker AP or CP certification within 6 months of hire.
• DI Training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, installs, configures, and develops software to support Beaker AP/CP implementations.
• Supports middleware, instruments, and interfaces in the lab infrastructure.
• Designs and supports the transition of integrated lab instrumentation to Epic Beaker using Data Innovations middleware.
• Assists with analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
• Supports clinical, administrative, financial, revenue, or operational implementations for assigned products including testing and QA, reporting, and training users.
• Assists with onboarding and training as needed.

Job Summary

The Senior Beaker DI Application Analyst plays a key role, using their integration expertise to support the foundational Device Integration buildout for lab workflows, laboratory instrumentation and LIS capabilities. The position will support the transition of integrated lab instrumentation from the current state to Epic Beaker/Data Innovations for the Pathology Lab. This role is a member of the Middleware and Data Innovations (MDI) team. A strong networking and IT infrastructure background is preferred to ensure connectivity, security, and performance of integrated lab systems.

(Note: This role is available for remote work from most US locations)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, builds, installs, configures, and/or develops software to support clinical workflows and supports Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) implementations.
• This role is responsible for analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of technical infrastructure of middleware, instruments, and interfaces in the lab.
• Designs and supports the transition of integrated lab instrumentation from current state to Epic Beaker , utilizing Data Innovations (DI) middleware
• May perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
• Supports clinical, administrative, financial, revenue, or operational implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with customers and vendors, and training users.
• Assists with onboarding and training as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree (Required)
• Beaker AP or CP certification within 6 months of hire
• DI Training - preferred

• Product Knowledge (Intermediate): Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully developing or supporting applications for the product without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to educate and train others regarding the process.
• Testing (Intermediate): Possesses a high level of skill to develop new and execute pre-designed program test data, load testing, and ensures validity of data passed among programs. Able to use automated testing aids to help debug programs. Creates and maintains appropriate test documentation for regulatory requirements.
• Technical Analysis (Intermediate): Possesses high level of knowledge of the functionality of assigned products and the systems with which they interface. Proactively identifies, analyzes, and develops solutions to complex clinical, administrative, financial, operational, and technical issues.
