Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to design and manage large EPC capital projects for aggregate processing plants and rail/marine distribution facilities as part of the East Division.

Location options Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte, or Atlanta. You will lead projects from conception to completion, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safety, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining, civil, or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• PE license and PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with conveyors, crushers, pumping and washing systems.
• Proficient in Aggflow, Belt Analyst, AutoCAD and construction surveying.
• Strong reading of detailed drawings and oversight of concrete/steel work.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex engineering projects from conception to completion on time and within budget.
• Prepare bid documents, review bids, and recommend vendor selection.
• Coordinate mechanical and civil installation with other engineering groups.
• Plan, design, and estimate project schedule and cost for capital improvements.
• Oversee construction, QA/QC, and handover to operations.
• Identify schedule, budget, and safety issues and implement mitigations.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and direct construction activities.
• Review drawings and supervise concrete and steel installation.
