Aurora is seeking a quality-driven engineer to ensure manufacturing quality of the Aurora driver kit integration into OEM vehicles. You will lead End of Line testing, design and execute test plans, deploy test scripts, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues.

The role requires strong embedded software understanding, Linux experience, and hands-on testing across CAN, TCP/UDP, and other protocols, plus a willingness to travel within the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality, autonomous vehicle manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly operations, robotics or equivalent field experience
• Strong understanding of embedded software concepts
• Experience with programming and scripting (C++, Python or equivalent)
• Experience with testing and characterizing communication protocols such as TCP/UDP, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, and UART
• Ability to interpret complex system architecture, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience working in a Linux environment

Responsabilités

• Work on-site at our partner facility in Livonia, MI
• Work hands on with Aurora’s self driving trucks
• Design, develop and implement test plans for verifying and validating hardware operation of complex systems
• Deploy scripts/software to test systems, analyze data, and create test reports
• Troubleshoot and debug a variety of system and component level failures
• Perform root cause analysis, characterize defects, provide descriptions of failures and corrective actions
• Use Linux command line and python tools for testing and debugging purposes
• Build tools to interact with various test and quality management data systems
• Coordinate cross-functional solutions with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Assist manufacturing teams and technicians with hardware issues
• Support continuous improvement and non-conformance reporting/management
• Follow safety requirements and work instructions
