Job summary

Groupe Managem is hiring for an Environmental Specialist to lead ESIA work, supervise rehabilitation and ensure sustainable water management across mining projects in Morocco and abroad. The role involves coordinating with engineering, geology and operations teams and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Qualifications

• PhD or engineering degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental roles within mining or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESIAs for projects in collaboration with engineering, geology and operations teams.
• Supervise mine rehabilitation and closure studies and plans across project life cycle.
• Monitor environmental commitments, mitigation measures and action plans.
• Coordinate implementation and monitoring of PSSEs.
• Lead project compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards.
• Lead Water Policy deployment for sustainable water management.
• Monitor water quality, availability and consumption across sites.
• Identify and manage environmental risks and impacts of mining activities.
• Ensure biodiversity, soil, discharges, waste and pollution prevention are integrated.
• Coordinate internal/external stakeholders and oversee consultants.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in environmental performance.
