Job summary

You will manage broker and client relationships, mentor teammates, and contribute to cross-functional projects across underwriting, claims, actuarial and other departments. CPCU or professional designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• 7+ years underwriting experience; typically 10+ years.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses to others.
• Ability to define and implement underwriting processes/workflows.
• Proven track record of profitable underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites policies within authority and makes data-driven decisions.
• Manages portfolio of brokers and clients, building relationships.
• Provides input into business and marketing planning with data insights.
• Collaborates across departments to drive underwriting and process excellence.
• Mentors, coaches, and trains underwriters and internal partners.
