Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering, or related curriculum plus five years of engineering experience; or seven years of engineering experience.
• Extensive experience in civil engineering activities and managing environmental aspects of transportation projects.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review highway improvements for environmental impacts and mitigation needs.
• Keep records of mitigation actions to ensure timely development of reports.
• Submit environmental survey requests to the Bureau of Design and Environment.
• Coordinate activities with subordinates, other sections, and consultants to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and carry out other duties as assigned.
