Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Environmental and Solid Waste Project Manager to support the Charles County Department of Public Works on a portfolio of environmental, solid waste, water resources, and related capital projects. The role covers planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction and closeout with a focus on scope, schedule, budget, quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/environmental fields or related.
• 7+ years of relevant project management experience (environmental/solid waste/public works).
• Experience leading projects through planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction and closeout.
• Experience coordinating engineers, contractors, government agencies and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and change management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple environmental, solid waste, civil infrastructure projects concurrently.
• Provide project management and owner's representative services across project lifecycles.
• Develop and monitor schedules, budgets, scopes, risk logs and documentation.
• Coordinate with county departments, consultants, contractors and regulators.
• Review engineering drawings, reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
