Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Senior Environmental Service Technician to lead cleaning and disinfection of patient areas and to train team members on procedures and standards. You will help ensure a clean, safe environment and support hospital operations in the Environmental Services department.

As a senior technician, you will coordinate tasks, monitor quality, and collaborate across departments while working evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant experience public service and/or customer service in hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience is required.
• 6 months of relevant leadership experience preferred.
• CHEST certification (CHEST) - 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, disinfects, and stocks patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas per procedures.
• Performs maintenance on floors, carpets, and upholstery.
• Assembles, maintains, and stores equipment and supplies to complete tasks.
• Trains staff on department procedures, quality, safety, and customer service standards.
• Assigns and inspects work and conducts quality assurance checks.
• Collaborates with team members and other departments to ensure continuity of service.
