Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead environmental operations in our Buffalo, NY office. You will guide complex projects, manage budgets, and drive client development within Earth & Environment.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven leadership. Occasional travel may be required as part of project delivery and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental field and 7–10 years environmental services experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws/regulations and compliance.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and business needs.
• Experience upholding safety policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex environmental projects, oversee budgets, hours, and profitability.
• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance for project delivery.
• Develop new business with existing and new clients.
• Prepare proposals, define scope, budgets, and manage site projects.
• Support long-term strategy and pipeline development for Environmental Science work.
• Manage and mentor assigned staff; provide performance guidance.
