Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Lead Environmental Scientist to join our team remotely. You will lead environmental assessments, supervise field biology work, and coordinate with clients, regulators and internal teams to deliver on-time, within budget projects.

This role requires a strong background in environmental science, eight or more years of experience, and excellent communication, management, and analytical skills to drive business development and ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
• Registered Professional in field of expertise.
• Eight+ years of relevant experience with strong project management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and conduct complex field biology assessments including wetland delineations and wildlife surveys.
• Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, and establish budgets and schedules.
• Direct and prepare scopes of work, study designs, reports, and environmental permit packages.
• Maintain liaison with clients to resolve technical, budget, and scheduling questions.
• Support business development and generation of new business.
• Prepare environmental reports and permit applications; interface with regulators.
