Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced scientific analyses, develops departmentwide best practices, and advises leadership on environmental justice considerations.
• Independently designs and leads studies, evaluates environmental implications of program decisions, and recommends actions to strengthen equitable access and reduce environmental burdens.
• Coordinate across divisions to ensure consistency in EJ implementation, development of technical tools and guidance, and participation in statewide initiatives.
• Travel may be required up to 10 percent of the time.
