Job summary

Terracon in Wheat Ridge, CO, seeks an experienced environmental professional to conduct site investigations, sampling, and assessments across air, water, soil and materials. You will help identify risks and design remediation strategies, prepare permits, and contribute to proposals and regulatory correspondence.

The role involves leading field teams, mentoring junior staff, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of projects, including Phase I/II assessments, tank closures, and storm water

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field with 7+ years’ experience (11 years without degree).
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Certification in field of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and report issues to management.
• Lead field teams to sample and analyze data.
• Prepare written proposals and regulatory correspondence.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data and summarize findings in reports.
• Mentor junior scientists/engineers and participate in project planning.
