Job summary

Parsons is seeking an Environmental Project Planner in the Pasadena area to lead large-scale urban/environmental planning projects. You will direct a team of planning professionals, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver on schedule and budget targets.

The role is full-time and can be hybrid (2 days in the office) across Central or Southern California, ideal for an experienced planner with Caltrans and CEQA/NEPA familiarity.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Urban/Environmental Planning or related field
• Extensive knowledge of CEQA and NEPA regulations for environmental planning
• Experience in completing environmental documentation for Caltrans projects

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and supervises urban/environmental planning projects of large scope and complexity.
• Serves as staff manager, technical leader, and expert in the field.
• Establishes budget estimates and staffing requirements; tracks project financials and quality control.
• Engages outside consultants when warranted.
• Represents the company at conferences, seminars, meetings.
