Job summary

AKT Peerless in Michigan is seeking a Sr. Environmental Project Manager to lead due diligence and remediation efforts within a multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on conducting Phase I and II ESAs, managing hydrogeological investigations, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

You will coordinate across disciplines, guide project goals, and deliver high-quality environmental services while supporting a flexible work-life balance and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering or related field.
  • 8-12 years of relevant environmental experience.
  • Experience with Phase I/II ESAs and BEA/due care.
  • Knowledge of Michigan Environmental Regulations.
  • Strong technical writing and MS Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communications abilities.
  • Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Phase I ESAs to ASTM standards.
  • Lead Phase II ESAs.
  • Oversee hydrogeological investigations and remediation projects.
  • Support due diligence and brownfield redevelopment processes.
  • Maintain awareness of each project’s status and goals.

Sr. Environmental Project Manager – Southeast Michigan

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or related from an accredited university.
  • 8-12 years of Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering or related environmental experience.
  • Strong background/experience with environmental due diligence (Phase I, Phase II, & BEA/due care)
  • Experience with Michigan Environmental Regulations.
  • Strong technical writing skills, proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate staff.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current with 8-hour refresher courses.
  • Part 201/213 experience.

Job Description:

Successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment providing due diligence and remediation services.
