Job summary

Haley Ward, Inc. in Bangor, Maine, is seeking a senior environmental project manager to lead and manage environmental projects and client relationships in the Saco, Maine area.

You will oversee engineers, scientists, technicians, and designers, coordinate resources, and ensure compliance with environmental permits and project requirements. A BS and 10+ years of experience are expected, along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related programs.
• Minimum of 10 years of related industry and project management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of principles and practices relating to the discipline.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental projects and client relationships in the Saco, Maine area.
• Oversee and review work of engineers, scientists, technicians, and designers.
• Identify and schedule internal and subconsultant resources to execute project tasks.
• Manage environmental permitting and compliance projects including Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, NEPA, stormwater, wastewater, groundwater and solid waste.
• Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets and monitor project financial performance.
• Review and execute project contracts.
• Identify and develop new environmental business opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships to expand client base and promote cross-selling of services.
• Promote accountability, responsiveness, stewardship, and collaboration within the team.
