About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex environmental consulting projects focused on site investigation and remediation. This position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and technical project management, capable of delivering exceptional results on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Manage environmental projects involving subsurface contamination, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Site Assessments: Oversee and conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, including field work, sampling, and data collection.
• Remediation Planning: Perform feasibility testing and develop Remedial Action Plans for contaminated sites.
• Data Analysis: Interpret laboratory and investigation-related data to inform project decisions.
• Regulatory Coordination: Engage with agencies such as:
  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
  • Regional Water Quality Control Boards
  • Local Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs)
• Reporting: Prepare and review technical reports to meet EEC's quality standards.
• Compliance: Conduct environmental due diligence and compliance assessments at industrial and commercial facilities; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Waste Management: Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.
• Client Support: Provide regulatory guidance and assist clients in maintaining compliance.
• Safety & Quality: Promote safe work practices while maintaining project quality and timelines in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and project management.
• Strong technical expertise in site investigation, remediation, and risk assessment.
• Experience with Human Health Risk Assessment (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
