Job summary

Tanaq Environmental, LLC is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead and manage complex projects spanning emerging contaminants, restoration, and DoD programs. You will oversee scoping, budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and client management to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will develop high-performing teams of scientists and engineers, contribute to proposals, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience on multiple projects.
• Experience with HTRW, PFAS, MMRP, CERCLA, or similar EPA/DoD programs preferred.
• Experience leading federal agency proposals or capture efforts.
• Self-driven, able to self-manage and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, including investigations, design, remedial actions, and long-term monitoring.
• Serve as primary client liaison, manage contract compliance, relationships, and communications.
• Oversee scopes of work, schedules, budgets, resources, subcontractors, and financial performance for profitability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project staff and field personnel.
• Prepare, review, and QA deliverables such as investigation reports and action plans.
• Contribute to proposal development with technical approaches and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with safety and quality teams to meet health, safety, and quality requirements.
