INTERA Incorporated in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead reclamation, remediation, and environmental characterization projects. You will guide technical teams, develop client-facing proposals, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering sustainable site management.

The role emphasizes collaboration with regulators, clients, and stakeholders, and requires travel to project sites and INTERA offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, hydrology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience managing environmental projects and supporting business development.
• Strong technical writing, data analysis, verbal and graphic communication, and project management skills.
• Investigation experience using sampling and borehole advancement methods.
• Investigation experience using high-resolution site characterization methods.
• Understanding of conceptual site models, contaminant fate and transport, and risk concepts.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and INTERA offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scopes, budgets and schedules, and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead and support technical proposal preparation and business development activities.
• Communicate with clients, regulators, and public stakeholders regarding environmental projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop reclamation and future use plans reflecting sustainability.
• Develop technical documents and lead remediation system operation, maintenance and monitoring.
• Design and implement field investigations (soil, groundwater, surface water, vadose zone).
• Support remediation measures for sites contaminated with various contaminants.
• Develop site conceptual models and support risk assessments and transport modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and regulators.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with technical teams.
• Support business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
