Job summary

Apex Companies seeks a dynamic Senior Technical Project Manager to lead environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance programs in Pleasant Hill, CA. This role requires strong technical leadership, client management, and mentoring of staff on complex projects.

You will oversee site investigations, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary teams while supporting business growth and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients in multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, or related field.
• 12+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• 7+ years managing complex environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Experience with projects exceeding $500K to $5M+ annually.
• Professional certifications such as PE, PG, CHG, PMP, REM, or CHMM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance projects from proposal through closure.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, work plans, and health and safety plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of geologists, engineers, hydrogeologists, risk assessors, and environmental scientists.
• Monitor project financial performance, including revenue, profitability, utilization, and forecasting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, laboratories, drilling contractors, and remediation vendors.
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.
