Job summary

Terraphase Engineering is actively seeking a Senior Project or Associate Engineer to join our Oakland or Pleasanton, CA offices. You will lead and deliver environmental investigation and remediation projects, supervising teams and coordinating with clients and agencies.

The role emphasizes project management, design deliverables, and health and safety oversight, with compensation based on experience and location. The pay range is disclosed as $95,000–$125,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering is required.
California Civil Engineering PE license is required.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher training required.
Experience with RI/FS and remedial design deliverables is expected.

Responsibilities

Serve as Project Manager for environmental projects, including site investigation and remediation.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and teams to execute scope effectively.
Prepare design documents, calculations, drawings, and cost estimates.
Lead development of environmental remediation designs and engineering analyses.
Plan field activities and oversee Health and Safety Plans.
Coordinate with internal CAD/GIS staff and subconsultants; manage contracts and invoicing.
Mentor junior staff and act as a client/agency liaison where needed.
