Intertek's Environmental team in Salt Lake City is hiring an Environmental Project Scientist/Engineer/Geologist to support Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos surveys, soil/groundwater sampling, site remediation, and report writing. The role involves fieldwork, project coordination, and client communication, with travel up to 50% depending on project load.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
• 8+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience
• Project management/coordination experience
• Soil/Groundwater/Vapor sampling, data evaluation, and report preparation
• Experience managing field teams and drillers
• Experience managing projects under regulatory programs like VCP, UST Program, APST, etc.
• Client communications/management experience
• Detail-oriented team player with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, plus time and budget management
• Computer literate with ability to operate field/office equipment and MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental department on services including Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, UST/LUST assessments, site remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, wetland surveys, and field observation documentation
• Assist in development of work scope, report preparation, client and subcontractor coordination, and assessment of proper response actions
• Manage and perform Environmental Site Assessments following ASTM standards
• Participate in installation of soil borings, monitoring wells, remediation activities, waste management and disposal, and other field requirements using SOPs
• Author technical reports and proposals
• Provide support planning, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, and build relationships with clients and team members
