Job summary

Intertek seeks an Environmental Staff Scientist/Engineer/Geologist to support the Orlando region, overseeing environmental projects and expanding our environmental services. This role involves travel up to 15% and a Monday–Friday schedule, with field and office duties supporting ASTM Phase I–III assessments, soil/gas investigations, and remedial actions.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering (ABET preferred), 1+ years of environmental consulting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
• 1+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience including site investigation and risk assessment.
• Detail-oriented, team player with excellent communication, analytical, organization, and time/budget management skills.
• Computer-literate and able to operate field/office equipment; proficient with engineering calculations for remedial planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform Environmental Site Assessments including ASTM Phase I, II, III; manage UST/LUST projects and related program deliverables.
• Assist with soil gas and vapor intrusion investigations, remedial action, and remedial construction projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical proposals/reports for clients.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, team members, and regulators to align with project plans and schedules.
• Author technical reports and assist with proposals.
• Work within project budgets to build solid client relationships.
