Job summary

Broward County seeks an advanced professional to support environmental policy, resilience planning, and energy initiatives within the Public Works & Environmental Services Department. The role coordinates policy recommendations, advocacy, and program implementation with internal and external partners across county and regional levels.

Ideal candidates will drive outreach, monitor legislation, and develop engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, environmental planning/science or closely related field.
• One year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of education.
• Requires four years of experience managing programs/projects or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License based on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, authorizes, implements, supervises and evaluates programs/projects with county-wide impact.
• Coordinates and manages all aspects of major scope programs with large budgets.
• Assists leadership by researching issues, creating memos, policies, and reports.
• Conducts special research, analyzes data, and makes recommendations.
