Job summary

Woodard & Curran seeks a Senior Project Manager with 15+ years of environmental planning and permitting experience to lead CEQA/NEPA projects across California and the West Coast, mentoring teams and shaping regulatory strategies for critical infrastructure investments.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and drive business development while delivering projects on schedule and within budget in a hybrid West Coast setting.

Qualifications

• CEQA/NEPA knowledge and experience leading environmental review processes.
• 15+ years in environmental planning and permitting for infrastructure projects.
• 8+ years of project management in a consulting environment.
• Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Established relationships with regulatory agencies in California.

Responsibilities

• Lead CEQA (IS/MND, EIR) and NEPA (EA, EIS) studies from initiation to completion.
• Develop permitting strategies aligned with client goals and project schedules.
• Coordinate agency coordination, multidisciplinary teams, and subconsultants.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Support client relationships, business development, and mentoring junior staff.
