Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Environmental Planning Project Manager to expand CEQA & NEPA services in Southern California. You will develop opportunities, manage and deliver projects, mentor staff, and respond to client needs across HDR’s business groups.

This seller/doer role requires self-motivation, technical capability and leadership. Responsibilities include overseeing environmental documents and studies, coordinating teams, managing budgets, and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10 years of related experience.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse design teams and strong written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.
• Own and manage project assignments regardless of size or complexity.
• Produce and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contracting, design and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload to ensure deliverables meet schedule.
• Track financial aspects and adjust work effort to meet budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for periodic reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and mentor junior staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
