HDR is seeking an Environmental Project Manager in Los Angeles area to oversee large-scale CEQA and NEPA documentation, lead sector teams, and ensure quality and on-time delivery. You will mentor staff, manage client requirements, and drive business development initiatives.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design teams, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of environmental writing and CEQA/NEPA document prep.
• Knowledge of endangered species act and regulatory permitting requirements.
• Experience with MS Project and Teams.
• Previous consulting industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare large-scale CEQA & NEPA documents for diverse projects.
• Supervise sector staff; improve performance and profitability.
• Track staff actions and support recruitment/training.
• Lead sector quality control and proactive PM systems.
• Mentor teams; align technical resources with client needs.
• Support client development and prioritize high ROI business efforts.
• Promote quality culture and represent the sector at events.
• Ensure safety culture and enforce company policies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
