Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to support our mining team in the Mountain West region. This role focuses on managing federal and state permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects, coordinating with agencies and private sector clients.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop NEPA documents, and manage schedules and budgets while mentoring staff and expanding client relationships across the mining and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical or environmental sciences or related disciplines; NEPA experience preferred.
• 6+ years of experience with environmental reviews, mine permitting, or NEPA project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal, state, and local permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects.
• Serve as primary contact with government and private sector clients.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to prepare NEPA documents and deliverables.
• Plan and complete tasks delivering accurate NEPA and permitting products on time.
• Develop proposals and expand client relationships; lead project teams to meet schedule, budget.
