Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Planner for our Plymouth, MN office to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering state and federal environmental reviews for a range of client projects.

You will coordinate with agencies, manage budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while ensuring high-quality, compliant deliverables.

Travel regionally as needed; strong technical writing and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEPA/NEPA project management and reviews for varied actions.
• Coordinate with agencies, prepare environmental documents, and manage public engagement.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Define scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Facilitate client and regulator satisfaction through negotiation and issue resolution.
• Develop strong client, regulator and stakeholder relations.
• Ensure QA/QC and health and safety requirements across life cycles.
• Support cross-selling with other Stantec practices.
• Assist business development, including proposals.
• Review reports and proposals; deliver presentations.
• Mentor early career team members.
