Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Environmental Planner/Senior Siting Specialist to lead siting and routing studies across Ohio and surrounding states. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to document findings for clients and agencies, and contribute to defensible reporting and public meetings.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to lead or work independently; some travel is expected to sites and open houses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience conducting siting and routing studies and analyses.
• Familiarity with PJM, MISO and other regional transmission boards and their processes.
• Excellent technical writing skills, clear communicator, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage project team and interact with client teams to deliver high quality work.
• Willing to travel for site visits and attend public open house meetings.
• Ability to lead as a team lead or work independently across teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and lead siting and routing studies for energy projects.
• Gather background data, prepare siting maps, and document findings for clients/agencies.
• Liaise with government agencies, clients, and team members.
• Support siting reports documenting the process and decisions.
• Provide guidance on state filing requirements and write components for public utility applications.
