Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced environmental permitting professional to guide projects through SEQR and Army Corps processes in New York. The role involves coordinating timelines, interfacing with designers and regulatory agencies, and ensuring compliance across projects.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Environmental Science or related field and has strong leadership, communication, and regulatory knowledge. Onsite work at Jacobs workplaces is expected for full-time salaried staff.

Qualifications

• Extensive SEQR and Army Corps permitting experience in NY.
• Current NYS environmental regulations knowledge; NYS permit acquisitions preferred.
• Degree from an accredited college in Environmental Science, Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture or related program.
• Experience coordinating with designers and NYS/federal regulatory agencies.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete environmental permitting for multiple projects with varying complexity, from NYS SEQR short form to Joint Applications.
• Track and coordinate permit timelines and provide administrative support for all phases.
• Oversee upcoming and future projects where environmental reviews or regulatory permits are required.
• Coordinate environmental impact assessments such as SEQRA.
• Prepare environmental documents for EISs, EAs, and related studies.
