Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Permitting Specialist for the New England region, based in Massachusetts or nearby states, with remote work possible and occasional travel. You will support diverse projects in energy, infrastructure and land-use permitting, focusing on MA wetlands and related regulations.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in Environmental Science or a related field with 8+ years of permitting experience, US citizenship, and strong written and verbal communication skills; MS and 12+

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Sciences or related field + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
• Environmental permitting experience is required
• US citizenship is required
• Valid Driver’s License and able to pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review
• MS and 12+ years of permitting experience preferred
• Background in Wetland Science, Policy and Land Use Regulations desired
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of environmental permitting projects in multiple client sectors
• Attend and lead public presentations on permit requirements
• Work within a team environment across New England states
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliant and timely permit strategies
