Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers seeks an Environmental Manager to lead environmental permitting for large-scale infrastructure projects across North America, with assignments in Bellevue, WA, Federal Way, WA, Lone Tree, CO, Lenexa, KS, or Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

You will supervise environmental planning, NEPA compliance, agency coordination, and mentor staff to deliver permits on time and within budget, while collaborating with internal teams to minimize risk and optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning, Environmental Planning, Life Sciences, Cultural Resources, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or another related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of environmental planning experience on transportation, land development or related projects.
• Project Management and technical experience with design/planning projects on U.S. projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental permitting, reports, and technical documentation.
• Manage scope, schedule, and hours for environmental tasks.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and internal staff.
• Lead environmental task force meetings and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Support project communications and resolve design issues.
