Job summary

Tallgrass Energy is seeking an Environmental Permitting Manager to join the Houston-based Capital Projects Team. The role reports to the Director of Environmental Permitting and focuses on coordinating permitting for processing facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure.

Qualified candidates have 15+ years in environmental permitting, BS/MS in environmental fields, and strong regulatory knowledge. Travel up to 50% is expected, with collaboration across internal teams and external

Qualifications

Knowledge of regulations such as CWA, ESA, NRHP, OPA, NPDES, MBTA, NEPA
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites

Responsibilities

Coordinate environmental permitting for design and construction of facilities, pipelines, terminals and infrastructure
Manage internal resources and external consultants for permitting services with regulatory compliance
Develop and execute complex permitting strategies aligning stakeholders with schedules and budgets
Communicate critical permitting details to project teams and regulators as needed
Collaborate with Commercial and Government Affairs to address permitting needs and contingencies
