Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Acoustical Consultant to support its expanding environmental noise, vibration, and acoustics practice across the U.S. Gulf or Mountain regions.

The role collaborates with scientists and engineers in sectors ranging from renewable energy to transportation, delivering planning, monitoring, modeling, permitting, and post-construction studies. The position offers a hybrid schedule with two days in the office, and opportunities to lead projects, mentor staff, and

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental acoustics/noise assessments is required.
• Experience with acoustic measurement practices, software, and instrumentation is required.
• Experience with acoustical modeling software (CadnaA preferred) and tools (GIS, AutoCAD, spreadsheets) is required.
• Experience in managing multiple projects in a client-facing role is required.
• Experience reviewing environmental regulations and permitting requirements is required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically for field work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage noise/acoustics projects from proposal to completion, on schedule and budget.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to training in field work, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct field measurements, technical analyses, modeling, and reporting.
• Analyze modeling results and document acoustical analyses in technical reports.
• Present at public meetings and act as expert acoustics witness when needed.
• Contribute to proposals with task scopes and cost estimates.
• Maintain professional growth through seminars and training.
