Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services team is seeking a Senior Acoustical Consultant to support the US Gulf/Mountain NVA practice. You will lead noise and vibration studies, coordinate with scientists and engineers, and manage client-facing projects across multiple sectors from planning to post-construction.

The role requires extensive experience in environmental acoustics, modeling software, and regulatory understanding.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental acoustics/noise assessments is required.
• Experience with acoustic measurement practices, software, and instrumentation is required.
• Experience with acoustical modeling software (CadnaA preferred) and technical tools to support acoustics/noise analyses (spreadsheets, GIS, AutoCAD) is required.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a client-facing role is required.
• Experience reviewing local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements is required.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
• Willingness to travel periodically for field work, including multi-day trips to various locations within the United States, is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage noise/acoustics projects from proposal to completion, delivering on schedule and within budget.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to training in field work, analysis, modeling, and report preparation.
• Conduct and oversee staff completing field measurements, technical analyses, modeling, and reporting.
• Analyze acoustical modeling results and document findings in technical reports.
• Present at public meetings and appear as expert witness for acoustics projects.
• Contribute to project proposals by developing task scopes and cost estimates.
• Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliates.
