Defenders of Wildlife in Denver, CO, is seeking a Senior Attorney to engage in federal environmental and natural resources litigation, supervise a legal team, and advise on legislative matters. The role entails cross-disciplinary collaboration to advance conservation policies and protect biodiversity.

The Senior Attorney will lead staff attorneys, fellows, and law clerks, while contributing to policy initiatives.

Formación

• Education: JD required; appropriate state bar license(s) required
• Experience: 10 years of relevant experience; 5 years supervisory experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable

Responsabilidades

• Develop litigation strategies and litigate cases under federal environmental and natural resources law
• Draft comment letters and participate in public hearings
• Advise staff on legal questions and legislative matters
• Supervise and mentor staff attorneys, legal fellows, and law clerks
• Prepare written products across departments to advance conservation work
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
