Job summary
SLR Consulting is seeking a Principal Scientist, Principal Engineer (PE), or Principal Geologist (PG) to lead our New Jersey Land Quality & Remediation practice. This senior seller‑doer role requires an established book of business, deep client relationships, and the ability to drive profitable growth.
The selected candidate will partner with our Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) to expand investigation, remediation, and regulatory services across New Jersey, delivering high‑impact
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology.
- 15+ years of environmental consulting experience.
- Active New Jersey PE or PG license required.
- Proven success in a seller-doer model with established clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and grow an active book of business across environmental services.
- Lead proposal strategy, scope development, and pricing for market growth.
- Function as a seller-doer, balancing business development with senior technical leadership.
- Provide high-level technical oversight including data interpretation and remedy evaluation.
- Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence across the team.
- Collaborate with NJDEP regulatory alignment and client meetings.
