Mortenson Construction in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to support environmental management efforts. You will review documentation, advise on environmental matters, and interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic team setting.

The role requires travel up to 50% to project sites; remote-based candidates will be considered. This position offers comprehensive benefits and eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or related field.
• Significant experience with SWPPP.
• Experience with endangered species, erosion prevention and sediment control, SPCC, and other environmental risks.
• Deep understanding of Federal, State, Provincial and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Strong organization and self-direction with ability to collaborate in a team.
• Ability to communicate with consultants and governmental agencies.
• Ability to use PC, tablets and widely used software packages (e.g., Excel, Word).
• Minimum of eight years related experience.
• Current driver's license.
• Based out of Minneapolis, MN; remote candidates considered.

Responsabilidades

• Develop site-specific environmental plans and activities.
• Review environmental submittals and attend preconstruction meetings.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and lead environmental training programs.
• Lead best management practices for environmental management.
• Monitor implementation of environmental mitigation measures and conduct site inspections.
• Collaborate with customers on regulatory reporting and documentation requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of environmental issues and applicable laws and procedures.
• Communicate with third parties including customer environmental personnel, consultants, and regulatory representatives.
• Assist in developing company-wide Environmental Management support programs.
