Job summary

Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Mine project seeks a Senior Environmental Scientist to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permits.

Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent or Environmental Manager, this role provides engineering guidance and leadership for environmental programs and projects, coordinating with environmental technicians and construction teams while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel and work in remote project sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all activities.
• Manage environmental permits, licenses, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate permitting activities with operations and stakeholders.
• Lead environmental projects and coordinate contractor/technician activities.
• Provide environmental awareness training to site personnel.
• Mentor less experienced staff and potentially act as Project Manager on larger projects.
