Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to support the EPA ESAT program in Corvallis, Oregon. The role oversees soil, water, air and waste analyses for regulatory compliance and environmental remediation projects.

The position requires leadership of a 15-person team, oversight of EPA analytical methods, and strong budget/forecasting skills, with direct client interaction in a federal facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a physical science or 20 years' federal project management experience in environmental contracts.
• 10+ years EPA analytical programs and EPA methods experience.
• 5+ years leading an environmental analysis group with 10+ direct reports.
• Data acquisition, instrument reporting, and LIMS proficiency.
• Laboratory management including client communication, budgeting and forecasting.
• U.S. citizenship is required for federal access.
• Ability to pass an EPA background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 15-person chemists and technicians lab team performing analyses and QA/QA support.
• Provide input and technical oversight of the work performed.
• Schedule, track, and report assignments and outcomes.
• Develop budgets and monitor financial performance for the team.
• Supervise staff including hiring and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate daily with subcontractor personnel.
• Interact with clients and deliver technical presentations.
• Ensure compliance with technical, QA, and safety requirements.
