Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking an experienced Environmental Inspector to perform complex environmental work with minimal supervision. You will inspect public and private facilities, indoor and outdoor sites, and investigate incidents to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

The role requires hands-on experience in inspections, spill response, and sampling across soil, water, air, and groundwater.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree + 3 years of relevant experience meets the education/experience requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience meets the education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects public and private facilities, indoor and outdoor sites.
• Investigates incidents to determine compliance with environmental laws.
• Performs complex environmental work under minimal supervision and makes technically discretionary decisions.
