Job summary

Florida Department of Health, Palm Beach County Health Department is seeking an Environmental Specialist III to conduct regulatory environmental health inspections across food safety, group care facilities, and residential settings.

The role involves investigations of foodborne illness, sanitary nuisances, and unlicensed facility operations, plus reviewing plans and blueprints and documenting findings. You will coordinate with agencies and provide testimony at hearings and hearings.

Qualifications

• Conduct regulatory and educational environmental health inspections across food safety, group care, and residential facilities
• Perform investigations of foodborne illness complaints, sanitary nuisances, and unlicensed facility operations
• Review plans and blueprints for food service establishments, mobile home parks, and other regulated facilities
• Document findings and generate inspection reports with clear conclusions and recommendations
• Maintain confidential health and environmental data in compliance with FDOH security policies
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies and provide testimony at administrative hearings
