Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a U.S. accredited college or university with 30+ credit hours of science courses.
• Must obtain Food Hygiene and Onsite Treatment and Disposal Systems certification within 6 months of employment.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one before hire.
• Daily in-office or field work is required.
• Experience with Environmental Health Programs and Florida Administrative Codes/Statutes.

Responsibilities

• Perform site evaluations, review plans, and issue permits for Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems.
• Investigate sanitary nuisance complaints and ensure corrective action.
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and enforcement of Environmental Health programs as assigned.
• Educate homeowners, builders, and the public on applicable laws and regulations.
