Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in Michigan to lead remedial investigations and design of contaminated sites. You will work with project teams to prepare technical reports and cost estimates while negotiating actions with agencies and clients.

The role involves supervising staff, contributing to mid-size project management, and supporting business development in remediation design projects. A PE license and 10 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of remedial investigation/design experience.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) recognized by the state licensing board.
• Experience with soil and groundwater remedial technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct or supervise remedial investigation and design of contaminated sites.
• Collaborate with PMs and technical staff to develop project deliverables and reports.
• Negotiate remedial actions with agencies and clients.
• Prepare work plans, feasibility studies, and technical reports.
• Serve as consultant and supervisor on remedial construction projects.
• Act as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects.
• Support marketing efforts for remediation design projects.
• Supervise professionals and technicians in remedial design areas.
• Perform other duties as needed.
