Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed PE in Tennessee required.
  • Must reside in Tennessee.
  • 10+ years in soil and groundwater assessment/remediation preferred.
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour training as a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and own delivery of projects, offering solutions aligned with client budgets and needs.
  • Lead and contribute to proposals and bids for projects.
  • Identify, assess, evaluate and solve problems per project briefs.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with contract service providers within the contract-management plan.
  • Develop product specifications and design test procedures and standards.
  • Define and deliver procedures for organizational areas and monitor implementation.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and report to senior colleagues.
  • Foster relationships with small clients and assist with larger key clients as needed.
  • Operate within knowledge-management systems to deliver outcomes.
  • Elicit complex requirements via interviews, documents, workshops to define goals.

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer (PE) to join our team in Tennessee. You will plan and own the delivery of projects, providing creative solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities, identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to be briefed on budget, as well as leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects.

Responsibilities
  • Improve and innovate: identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then deliver a plan for a small element of a change‑management program with guidance from a project/program manager.
  • Work within established knowledge‑management systems to deliver preset outcomes for an area of responsibility.
  • Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost‑benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
  • Deliver required outcomes by managing day‑to‑day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract‑management plan.
  • Develop product specifications and design test procedures and standards.
  • Help develop procedures for an area of the organization and monitor their implementation.
  • Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
  • Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee required.
  • Must reside in the state of Tennessee.
  • At least 10 years of experience in soil and groundwater assessment and remediation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulation and compliance.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and swiftly adapt to changing client needs.
  • Proven excellence at all stages of the project life cycle, from preparing bids, project strategy development, to project deliverables.
  • OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER training.
