Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager in Nashville, TN, to lead environmental consulting efforts, guide project strategy, and mentor staff across regulatory and technical disciplines.

The role emphasizes managing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary projects, and developing proposals. A long track record in environmental permitting, remediation, and data interpretation is expected, with flexibility for travel and a hybrid office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
• Professional licensure (PE or PG) highly regarded.
• 15+ years in environmental consulting including permitting, remediation, site assessments, report writing, data management and interpretation.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings.
• HAZWOPER certification a plus.
• Experience coordinating multiple tasks in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Management of client portfolio for a major oil and gas client.
• Preparation and technical review of correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications.
• Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations at federal, state, and local levels.

Who are we looking for? Our Environmental business is looking for a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join the team in Nashville, TN! In this role, you will contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through Project Management, technical and regulatory strategy development, proposal development and staff development/mentoring.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Management of client portfolio for a major oil and gas client

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
• PE or PG will be highly regarded
• At least 15 years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, remediation & design, site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients preferred
• Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings is required
