We are looking for a team member based in Michigan that has a background in conducting Phase I ESAs and related activities (scoping Phase II ESAs, assisting with field work on Phase II ESAs, preparing sections of Phase II ESA reports, etc.) and is interested in conducting and managing Phase I ESAs throughout the SME footprint. This team member would primarily conduct Phase I ESAs on a broad range of project types, including a focus on properties with industrial histories, high-risk operations, and/or multiple previous investigations. This position requires a person who is detail-orientated; has strong writing, communication, and time management skills; and is committed to implementing multiple Phase I ESA projects simultaneously. This position can work out of any of our Michigan office locations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines
Collaborate with project managers and senior technical reviewers to develop scopes of service and sampling and analysis plans for Phase II ESAs
Assist in the preparation and review of Phase I ESA reports
Support the development of Phase II ESA scopes of service, proposals, and strategies
Contribute to due diligence-related deliverables, including Baseline Environmental Assessments (BEAs) and Due Care plans
Prepare and write sections of Phase II reports and other related technical documents
